The Sacred Descendant. Part 1A lonely woman in a white robe sat in a dark cell, illuminated only by one burning torch. It provided enough light to see her surroundings, but it still was pretty dark. All she realized was being locked in some kind of a dungeon, and her wrists handcuffed together in front, just below her waist. She had no idea how she got here, but none of that mattered anymore. All that bothered her now was the reason. Who brought her here and why? She could hear male and female voices in the distance, but what they spoke didn’t sound like talking. They were chanting. The spooky sound of it sent shivers down her spine. Those people definitely were members of some cult. Despite them being somewhere in the distance, she could still hear the words. She froze and listened. What they chanted sounded like some gibberish, a language that didn’t exist on Earth, and yet she somehow understood every word they said."Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.""In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming."The woman shook her head frantically. How on Earth could she understand it? It’s an alien language no human could possibly know, maybe only those cultists did. But what does it have to do with her? It was a question she might never get an answer to. And they were most likely to use her as a sacrificial lamb for whatever entity they worshipped. At least the white robe she wore made her think that. In the medieval times, robes of this type were worn by people sentenced to death. So death was her fate, she was sure of it.The sound of approaching footsteps interrupted her thoughts. She instantly turned her head to see three people in dark robes coming towards her cell. As the door actually consisted of metal bars, just like in prison cells, she could clearly see them. Judging by the height, all three were male. Their heads were hidden underneath the hoods, and their faces covered by masks with strange paintings on them. It looked like they had a faces with tentacles, and only their eyes were human. The one in the middle had a staff in his right hand with bizarre carvings and jewels in it.“There she is, Your Highness,” one of the men said.“We brought her here safe and sound,” the other man added.Their voices sound pretty much human, but the guy they addressed as ‘Your Highness’ said nothing. The woman inspected him with her eyes and concluded that he must be the high priest of the cult. He glided to her, grabbing the staff with his other hand, and the woman’s eyes instantly went wide. Horror washed over her.The priest’s left hand looked anything but human. Instead, he had several octopus-like tentacles undulating like snakes. They wrapped around the staff, holding it tight, while he kneeled before the woman and grabbed her chin, inspecting her.“Ah, yes, she’s perfect,” he hissed. “He will be very pleased.”The woman gulped. What were they going to do? Who will be pleased?“It’s time to go, my dear. He’s waiting for you in his chamber.”The two other cultists unlocked the cell and led her out. She wished she could resist, but her hands were cuffed together, and trying to fight was certainly not the best idea. These people were fanatic, and God knows what they could do to her if she tried anything stupid. So she had no other option but to obey and do what she was told. They led her into a large chamber illuminated by several torches and numerous burning candles, so it was pretty bright here. One of the men then removed her handcuffs. And just as she stepped through the doorway, the heavy wooden door slammed shut behind her. She tried to pry it open, but it didn’t budge. She was trapped. The woman sighed and slowly walked back into the chamber, inspecting her surroundings. The chamber was round with stone walls and pedestals with candles placed everywhere. She had never seen so many candles in one room. The flames burned very brightly, creating warm and, she had to admit, a pleasant atmosphere despite being in a dungeon. A stone horizontal altar was located in the middle of the chamber where victims were placed in a lying position for sacrificial rituals. Then her glance fell on another doorway on the other side of the chamber, right opposite the door. This one had no door and was pitch black. She had no wish to explore it. Maybe only if she took one of the candles…Before she did anything, she a blood-chilling sound coming from the darkness of that doorway. She froze and listened, afraid to move a muscle. It sounded like a growl mixed with some strange clicking. Then she remembered the priest mentioning that someone was expecting her. Who was he talking about? Is it that thing in the darkness, whatever it is? It had to be the one, as there was no one else around, except for her and this unknown being. The woman trembled in fear, and her mind was creating images, one crazier than another. She had no idea what she was going to face, and that made her feel afraid even more. Unknown is what people are most afraid of, and this was exactly what she was dealing with. The unknown was killing her, and she wished it was over sooner, and then come what may.And soon her wish was granted. The growling sound grew louder, which meant the creature was moving towards the doorway. The woman stood in her spot, waiting. Her heartbeat increased multiple times. And then she finally saw it – a creature that could only be born from a nightmare; a creature no mortal human had ever witnessed. A bizarre mixture of an octopus, a dragon, and a human would be the most suitable description of the monster’s appearance. Its scaly body looked more or less human-like, but the head resembled an octopus with multiple tentacles, and membranous dragon-like wings folded behind its back. Its yellow eyes looked at the woman, and to her, it seemed like they were staring right into her soul.So this is what was expecting her. The cultists brought her here to give her to this creature as a sacrifice. She didn’t move, knowing there were no way to run and no place to hide. She just stood there and watched as the nightmarish creature approached her, extending its snake-like appendages to her…***“Damn!”Darla jumped in her bed and rubbed her face. She’d just experienced another nightmare. She couldn’t start counting how many times she’d seen this terrifying dream. And it always was the same, maybe only with minor changes. But the cultists and that bizarre creature were always there. Huffing, she got out of her bed and checked the time. The clock showed 10:00 a.m. She had enough time to dress up and have breakfast before her friend Lucy arrived to her place. Both of them were going to the city of Arkham, and each had their own purpose for that. Darla was going to study there, and Lucy was eager to meet some guy named Derek she’d been video chatting with. Darla didn’t like the perspective of her friend getting intimate some random guy she’d met online, but that’s exactly why Lucy was going to Arkham. And she was stubborn as a mule.Lucy arrived at Darla’s place around twelve, mere few minutes after Darla had finished eating.“Hey, Darla, how’s going?” Lucy asked merrily. She eyed her friend with slight concern. “Are you alright?”“Hi, Lucy,” Darla replied. “Yeah, I’m ok. I just had another nightmare last night, so I slept quite poorly.”Lucy frowned.“Hmm… is it the same again?”Darla nodded. It was no pleasure to remember her creepy dreams.“It’s somewhat weird… I mean seeing the same dream many times in a row,” Lucy mused aloud. “But a dream is just a dream. Try not to think of it, okay?”“I’ll try,” Darla said and sighed. She had no other option to choose. “Alright, let me go and collect my stuff. I’ll be right back.”She went to her room and opened both her suitcases to check whether she packed everything she wanted. She might have forgotten something in a hurry, but it seemed everything was in a perfect order, so she zipped them up.“Darla, are you ready to go?” Lucy’s voice echoed through the apartment. “What’s taking you so long?”Darla grabbed her suitcases and backpack and quickly walked towards the door.“Yeah, I’m ready. I was just checking whether I have all I need. I’ll be away from my apartment for a while, you know.”“Sure. I’ve got my things ready, too. Let’s go.”Darla was excited. She had enrolled into the Miskatonic University in Arkham, and to her joy, she’d been accepted. The problem was that it was one hour drive from Boston to Arkham, and Darla didn’t like the perspective of waking up at dawn, or, in winter season, even before dawn, so she made the best decision to live in the dormitory and come back home on weekends and holidays. She gave her keys to her paternal cousin who agreed to look after the apartment. Darla lived in a safe district, but she thought she would feel safe if someone made sure her place is safe and sound during her absence. Darla felt a bit nervous – new town, new University, new surroundings… She had no idea how her life would be like, but at least Lucy would be near for a week, so Darla won’t be totally alone there. Each of them owned a car. It’s always better to be independent in every aspect, Darla thought. After all, she and Lucy had their own life and interests, and not always they were the same, like the reason Lucy went to Arkham.“Are you sure that guy is trustworthy?” Darla asked. Lucy crossed her arms and smirked.“Who? Derek? I’m pretty sure he is,” she replied, rubbing her hands in anticipation. “I can’t wait to see him.”“You said you had sexy video chats with him,” Darla said. “Is it really what I think it is?”Lucy laughed.“Oh, yeah, baby, it sure is. I can’t start counting how many times we’ve seen each other get rid of our clothes, then pleasure ourselves, and finally climax on camera. That was freaking hot, let me tell you. And as this video chat thing has become boring, I decided to finally go and meet him in person.”Darla’s face twisted in a grimace of disgust.“Ugh, that’s nasty,” she huffed.“And why is that?” she asked, tilting her head. She looked at her friend as if she’d just fallen from the moon. “Seriously, Darla, you need a boyfriend. Why everything connected to sex disgusts you? And you’re still a virgin, aren’t you? Or maybe you decided to keep celibacy for the rest of your life?”Now it was Darla’s turn to smirk slyly.“And I don’t understand why you’re so bothered by the fact that I’m still a virgin. Yes, I am a virgin, and a proud one, if you must know. I don’t feel I need a boyfriend, at least for now, and I certainly am not going to give myself to some random guy. And I kindly ask you not to interfere in my private life. It’s only up to me to decide what to do with it.”“Ok, ok.” Lucy raised her hands in defeat. “Now let’s go, otherwise we’re wasting time here.”The girls hopped into their cars and drove to Arkham. Just like it said in Google Maps, the journey took around one hour. Lucy had planned to stay in Arkham for a week, and she’d booked a motel room for herself. While she went there after the arrival to the city, the first thing Darla did was going straight to the Miskatonic University. She had an appointment there at 2:00 p.m. to arrange all the paperwork, and after that she went to the dormitory to get the keys to her room. Luckily, the room was meant for one person, and Darla couldn’t be happier. Sleeping place is something she would like to have just for herself. It felt like private space which she hated sharing with anyone else. Well, except for the loved one she didn’t have. The room looked pretty cozy – a single bed, a desk with a chair, a large closet, a bathroom with a shower cubicle, a washing machine, and a toilet, and even a small fridge. Darla smiled and began unpacking. She tried to pick the most necessary stuff to take with her, but she ended up taking her almost entire wardrobe. But, on the other hand, she was going to live in this dormitory. But as she planned to go home every weekend, she could always bring back something she didn’t want and take what she needed instead. As she finished with arranging her stuff, she walked back to the main building of her new University and went straight to the library. Creating her account there was one more important task to do, as she definitely was going to borrow books during her studies. Darla looked around, mouth agape. The library seemed so huge, it had two floors. Well, the University building looked impressive, both from inside and outside, so no wonder they installed such a large library. And considering the fact that the studies began in a week, Darla had all the time to get introduced to her new surroundings – the city, the University, the people around her. And she decided to begin her acquaintance right here, in the library.Darla’s head felt like spinning. She didn’t know where to start. Her glance ran from shelf to shelf until it stopped at the mark that read Mysticism and Occultism. Darla had never been interested in these things, and yet she felt herself being pulled to this shelf and take a look at the offer. She obeyed this unknown power and walked towards the shelf and looked at the books. The amount of literature on this theme was enormous, but the book called The Great Old Ones and Their Cults attracted her for some reason. Darla took the book from the shelf and walked to the nearby desk to sit and read. The things the book contained were terrifying. It described the creatures no mythology in the world had ever described, and the cults that worshipped them, committed gruesome acts. Human sacrifices were an important part of their theology, and what they did to the bodies was too sickening to imagine.Despite the descriptions of the bloody acts, Darla couldn’t stop reading. These texts had a strange effect on her, as if holding her tight with pliers. The book also contained illustrations of several sigils and markings, and also images of some deities. Things like these couldn’t possibly exist on Earth. They all resembled shapeless blobs with a multitude of eyes, mouths, and tentacles. But one of them stood out of the rest, and just as Darla’s glance fell on its image, her eyes went wide.“Oh my God…” she whispered. “It can’t be…”It was the same creature she had seen in her dreams. Cthulhu, the Great Old One. According to the description in the book, this being sleeps in the sunken city of R’lyeh. And when the stars are in the right position, the city will surface, and Cthulhu will awake from his sleep. When that happens, all humanity will delve into insanity, and the world as people knew it will die and be remodeled anew. The only thing that doesn’t go together is that Cthulhu is supposed to be of gigantic size, and the creature she’d seen in her dreams was only slightly larger than the average human. Darla flipped the pages, looking for more information, until she stumbled on the beings called ‘Cthulhi’, or, in other words, ‘Star Spawn of Cthulhu’. These creatures looked exactly like the Great Old One, but are of far smaller size. Darla read the entire description and nodded to herself. It wasn’t Cthulhu himself she’d encountered in her nightmares. It was one of these ‘Star Spawn’ things.Unbeknownst to herself, Darla had spent almost the entire day in the library. She’d read the whole book, from the first till the last cover. As she checked the time, she mentally whistled in surprise. It was almost 7:00 p.m. She quickly put the book back to the shelf and left the library. Darla wanted to get to the dormitory as soon as possible and just rest. She could watch some cool movie or read a book, surely a more pleasant one than the tome she’d just gone through. As she arrived to her room, she threw the shoes off her feet and just flopped on the bed. She wasn’t sleepy, but she totally needed rest. Peace and silence were so welcome at this moment, and Darla realized she felt pretty tired. But before she closed her eyes, the loud ringing of her phone startled her. She huffed angrily and picked up to see who decided to disturb her at this hour. She wasn’t surprised to see Lucy’s name on the screen. That girl surely would find a reason to party and hook up.“Hey, Darla, where are you now?”“I’m at the dormitory, just returned from the library,” Darla replied, yawning. “What about you?”“I’m at the motel with Derek. He has also brought his best friend Josh with him,” Lucy said.“He has brought another guy with him? Why?”Lucy laughed.“Because I told him I arrived to Arkham with a friend, so please, be a dear and join us. You have nothing else to do anyway before you start your studies.”Darla wanted to protest and refuse the offer, but she felt concerned about her friend and didn’t want to leave her alone with two guys. After all, Lucy had met this Derek for the first time. She had no idea who he was and what was on his mind. Video chats are nothing, empty and pointless game, especially if it is all about sex. So she got up from her bed and prepared to leave. Lucy had told her the exact address, and off she went, hoping for the best.

SILLY BUNNY ORIGINAL CREEPYPASTA Justin-97 Subject: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… I was randomly perusing through these forums, and stumbled upon this one, talking about childhood nights? It triggered an old memory of mine and thought I would share it I don’t usually comment or post stuff like this, but I felt like I needed to because it scared me so damn much as a kid. I know this sounds cliche as shit, but I would get into bed, close my eyes, and when they opened again, I wasn’t in my bedroom anymore. I was in this weird school…I think it was a Japanese or Korean school, didn’t seem like any school in America to my knowledge. It was the freakiest shit though, the school looked like it was all sketches and scribbles, no color at all, just black and white everywhere. It was like I stepped into a sketchbook that belonged to a kid in need of crack or something. I remember all the lines were not even, just crazy, overlapping pencil or ink lines everywhere making up everything from the walls to the floor to the furniture, EVERYTHING! But that’s not the scary part; the first time I went in I was confused by where I was, I looked around all around me taking it all in, but I didn’t even take a step before I heard it. The chanting: Happy Bunny, Happy Bunny, Happy Bunny, Over and over again, ringing in my ears the same two words! It was like some demented choir of I think children’s voices singing it, but it was so loud that’s all I could hear. Then there HE was…just standing at the end of the whole straight ahead from me. I guess it was this HAPPY BUNNY guy the singing was all about. He easily towered over my five-year-old frame; he was easily well over six to seven feet tall with that oversized head of his. He wore a light purple Easter Bunny suit with a white stomach with a big green bowtie with orange polka dots. He wore white Mickey Mouse gloves, and in his right hand, he held a red balloon. Oh god, just thinking about him is giving me Pennywise vibes. His face was the scariest part. His white furry cheeks surrounded a permanent smile with no lips, just teeth, and not even bucked teeth. That smile was just a flat piece of fabric formed into a horrible grin with triangular teeth like a jack-o-lantern’s. Above that damn smile were two large, soulless eyes, and the pupils looked dilated to the point I could see my reflection in them like I was swimming in a black ocean. He also had two floppy ears on top of his oversized head which stuck up slightly. How did I forget a face like that? He was like some demonic cartoon who didn’t match his surroundings at all. Against the black-and-white world around him, this HAPPY BUNNY stuck out clear as fucking day. All he did for the longest time was just stand there looking at me. I knew it was a dream, but I could feel my heart dropping into my stomach the longer we just stood there staring at one another. The bunny’s head twitched violently about, back and forth, side to side in quick bursts, like he was glitching or something. The chanting was getting louder and louder, as if whatever was singing were right up against my ears shouting at the top of their lungs. It was then the bunny charged at me in a burst of speed like something out of a Loonie Tunes cartoon. The bunny zoomed down the hall toward me in a flash, it was like a blur. Before he could get me…I woke up. I screamed so loud that night, I woke up the whole damn house. My parents were so pissed, but that was just the first night I had a nightmare like that. More came in the upcoming nights, each worse than the last. How the hell did I forget something like this? It traumatized me so badly as a kid, I’m surprised I even forgot at all. Carter_Universe95 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… …Dude, how the hell did you have the same nightmare as me? Justin-97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… …What? Carter_Universe95 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… [Insert Picture Here] Justin-97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… …Where the hell did you get that? Carter_Universe95 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… I drew it when I was eight years old. I would have thrown it away years ago, but it’s in my files. Justin-97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… What files? Carter_Universe95 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… My therapy notes from when I was a kid. I received a copy of them when I turned 18. The nightmares got so damn bad, I was afraid to go to sleep with the lights off well into adulthood. Oh god, to this day, I think I see the damn rabbit standing in the dark corner of my bedroom at night, just staring at me with those big, dead eyes! Justin-97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… I remember….just how bad the nightmares became. Carter_Universe95 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… Okay, tell me if this sounds familiar; this was the second nightmare I remember having about the bunny. I found myself in that school again, drawn, scratchy pencil marks everywhere, shifting about randomly it made my eyes hurt. I was alone, as I just stood in the hall looking around aimlessly. I was able to move this time, I took a step forward and began to look around. The marks on the walls shift and moved as I did, and I was able to look out the window for the first time. The sky was white, white like clean, fresh paper, but I saw balloons flying about in the air. Against the black-and-white pencil building, the colorful balloons stuck out like a sore thumb. The balloons just drifted in place lazily, as if weighed down by something not too heavy to fall to the ground below, but not too light to allow them to simply fly away. I couldn’t see what was weighing the balloons down in midair, but…I heard the singing again. Nothing but, HAPPY BUNNY, HAPPY BUNNY, HAPPY BUNNY, over and over again; it was loudest when I was near the window. I backed away from the window, but that was when the damn rabbit showed up from down the hall. He was just skipping happily, but he didn’t move like before. He was animated as if he was in one of those old, crappy Flash games on Newgrounds back in the day, just some poorly drawn figure in the same animation cycle moving toward me in silence. I froze up in fear at the sight of this…THING slowly coming toward me. My body was stiff, I couldn’t move. I could feel the sweat pouring down my forehead, as I watch the rabbit getting closer with that fixed, sharp-toothed grin of his. I struggled to move my feet, but I finally did and bolted down the hall away from the rabbit. I was about to take a left turn, but as I turned the corner, the rabbit was already there skipping toward me like before. I bolted down the hall again and decided to take a right turn this time, but the rabbit was already there waiting for me. He was just skipping toward me in that same shitty loop. I ran, and ran, and ran until I came to a set of doors, but they were locked, I couldn’t open them. I pulled on the handles on hard as I could yet the doors stayed closed. I spun back around to make a break for it, but the rabbit had already caught up. He had me cornered. He didn’t do anything, just stood there looking at me for what felt like an eternity. The fingers of the hand gripping his red balloon twitched in his grip, his head spazzed out like one of those poorly done SFM animations on YouTube, getting faster and faster the longer he stood there looking at me. Before I knew it, he lunged at me, springing forward and getting right in my face in a flash. That’s when I woke up screaming… Justin-97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… I do remember that dream…how is this possible? T1FFANYC1AY93 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… Well, I remember…I remember it like it was yesterday! I woke up in that same damn school yet I found myself laying on my back. Every other time I found myself in this godforsaken place, I would always be standing, but not here. Something else was different. As I sat up, I saw an open door leading out into a courtyard with bushes and trees, drawn with scribbles like some meth-addicted kid. I heard the singing this early as well. In every nightmare before, the singing wouldn’t start until halfway through, but not this time. And for some reason, the singing seemed louder as I stepped through the door out into the courtyard. I looked up, my ears picked up the singing coming from above chanting, HAPPY BUNNY, HAPPY BUNNY, HAPPY BUNNY. I wish I didn’t. Christ almighty, I wish I never looked up! Carter, you mentioned the balloons earlier, and how they seemed weighed down? I know why…there were heads tied to the ends of those balloons. Severed heads at the end of each string, they just float about chanting HAPPY BUNNY, HAPPY BUNNY, HAPPY BUNNY, with their eyes sewn shut with X-shaped stitches. They were all children’s heads drifting through the air, tied to the strings of each kaleidoscopic balloon by the hairs of their scalps. I could do nothing but stared in sheer disbelief; I felt like I was going to throw up. I soon began to hear another sound through the singing choir. It was faint at first, but it grew louder and sounded like it was coming from above me. I then looked up, and there he was, HAPPY BUNNY, lurking upon the ceiling like some overgrown spider. His head was spun around in a 180, staring back down at me with what seemed like tears beginning to stream from his big, dead eyes. As one gooey tear streamed down from his face to my feet before me, I realized it wasn’t tears: it was drool. That was when his mouth, HIS REAL MOUTH, opened wide, streams of drool pouring down from his gaping maw. The mouth was not the big fake smile plastered on his face. His face split open across the middle between that fake, permanent grin and those big, dull eyes which seemed to roll back into its skull. His head jittered about like crazy, as his mouth grew wider and wider, making his head seem nice as big as before. On the top jaw, there were a set of fangs close together like bucked-teeth, yellow and decayed, and on the bottom, two more fangs just as big which allowed the set above to overlap along with two small fangs on the sides. As his mouth opened, and drool came raining down from above, I swear I could smell his rotten breath which reeked of rot and death. Just thinking about it makes me sick to my stomach. While his mouth opened wider and wider, a hissing roar, which sounded like the wailing of a hurt animal mixed with a deflating tire, rang out through my ears. Before I knew it, he lunged down at me with that gaping hole ready to swallow me whole, but I screamed as loudly as I could, and then…I woke up in my bed. I haven’t had a good night’s sleep since… Justin_97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… God, that sounds horrible… Carter_Universe95 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… Um, that’s not the dream I remember having on the third night. Justin_97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… What exactly happened? Carter_Universe95 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… Well, since we’re all spilling our guts out over this, I might tell you all. I woke up in the same way Tiffany did. I found myself on my back in the middle of the hall, the chanting of HAPPY BUNNY had already started, but as I got to my feet, I heard footsteps quickly going closer to me. I turned to where I thought the noise was coming from, and running through an intersection was another kid about my age. I was eight when I had these nightmares, and the look of panic written on that other boy’s face told me it wasn’t his first time here either. He stopped in the middle of a four-way intersection of halls, his head darting all around toward the ceiling as if he was looking for something until he finally noticed me. He was a good 50 or so feet away from me, but the wide, panicked look plastered over his face, the whites of his eyes piercing my soul with their gaze, said all I needed to know. I don’t know why, but we just stood there, he and I, just looking at one another for what seemed like forever. I remember giving him a shy wave, but I don’t think he reacted to it, nor did he have the time because before I knew it, that damn rabbit appeared right behind him from the shadows. I could feel my eyes bulging out of their sockets, I was so frightened, but the other boy looked at me confused, completely unaware of the rabbit right behind him! I too saw his face open across the middle, a set of six fangs, just like how Tiffany described it, appeared with streams of drool slobbering down over his fuzzy lips. The hissing sound of his roar caught the attention of the other boy, who then finally turned to face him, but by then it was too late. I saw the rabbit chomp his wide jaws over the boy, gobbling him up with just one bite. I remember the disgusting sound of him swallowing the boy whole echoing through the halls. His stomach then began to move, as if the boy was still alive inside the rabbit suit, trying to kick and claw his way out but it was hopeless. The rabbit finally seemed to notice me, closing its jaws shut slowly as it hissed. It tilted its head as if examining me. Its head began to glitch out like in my other nightmares, rocking violently from side to side, front to back, over and over again. I just stood and watched on, unable to move, my knees shaking, and I couldn’t breathe. I watched as its mouth opened once more, that hissing roar rang out through the halls once more, but gave way to a new sound: cries for help. IT WAS THE OTHER BOY! He was screaming, begging for help from within the rabbit’s stomach! HELP ME! The other boy just shouted over and over, HELP ME, HELP ME, that damn rabbit’s mouth acting like a megaphone. The rabbit then jumped up to the ceiling with a loud crash of snapping, creaking old wood. It clung to the ceiling like an insect, and his head, gaping maw and all turned just like how Tiffany described it. I could still hear the other boy screaming for help, as the rabbit ran along the ceiling on all fours toward me with incredible speed! I couldn’t move, too afraid to look away, as the rabbit finally reached me and lunged down at me with its big, open mouth, the boy’s cries for help ringing in my ears. I too then screamed…and I was in my bed crying. My parents were more upset over how I pissed the bed for the first time since I was four rather than concerned, just chalking it up as another nightmare I was overreacting to. Yet later that week, I remember seeing the boy’s face on the news that same week. I can’t remember his name, but I do remember he was from the next town over from where I lived as a kid. He had gone missing from his bed during the night, no trace of him left behind or anything. I knew what happened, but no one believed me…The adults just put me on meds to shut me up so I wouldn’t cause any trouble, but you’re both talking about it now! This proves I’m not crazy, right? I did see it! I saw that boy get eaten by Happy Bunny, I know I did! I know I did! What the hell is going on? Taki#99 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… I don’t know, but I remember the balloons with the severed heads. I too saw them in my third nightmare. I woke up in the same way as the rest of you, on my back, in the middle of the hall. I saw up, and I could hear the chanting this early on as well. I followed the singing; I knew better, every fiber of my being telling me not to, but it was like I was in a daze, I didn’t have control over my own body. I walked down the shifting, pencil sketched hall until I was at the entrance of a courtyard. I believe it’s the very same one you described in your nightmare, Tiffany. I too saw the balloons with the severed heads, I too saw them singing HAPPY BUNNY, HAPPY BUNNY, HAPPY BUNNY. I looked all around the black and white landscape all around me, and as I looked forwards, it was then I finally noticed another child in the middle of the courtyard. They wore a yellow shirt with red shorts, but I never saw their face. I tried to call out to them, but I found myself unable to speak as if something was caught in my throat. I struggled to even breathe, as I tried desperately to call out to the other kid who just stood there, frozen in place. Out from the doorway on the other side of the courtyard before me came Happy Bunny himself. He walked up to the other kid, and I wanted so badly to run and grab the other kid, but I too was frozen. My feet felt like they were stuck in cement, heavy and preventing me from moving anywhere. Happy Bunny stopped right in front of the other kid and looked down upon him. He towered over that kid like a giant, glaring down at them with those big, dull eyes which never blinked. With his free hand, the bunny grabbed the kid and lifted him up into the air as if he weighed nothing. He raised his right hand which held that red balloon up high, loosening his grip, and an extra length of the balloon’s string fell from his clenched fist. It was shaped like a noose, and he wrapped it around the kid’s neck. I could do nothing but watch, as I saw the kid’s body begin to twitch and pulsate violently. I could still hear their struggled breaths in my sleep. Happy Bunny didn’t move nor did he seemed shaken by any of this. In fact, I think he was enjoying it. Suddenly, the kid’s head came popping off, and their limp body fell to the ground with a wet, squishy plop. Happy Bunny watched as the body hit the ground before his feet, and then his attention was to the balloon. I too watched, as the balloon ascended into the air with the head on the end. The head morphed into this dried, mummified husk, two thick strings formed Xs over the eyes, shutting them closed, and the hair on top of the head fused with the balloon’s string. It wasn’t long before it too began chanting HAPPY BUNNY, HAPPY BUNNY, HAPPY BUNNY, along with the other balloons, and I looked before me once more to see Happy Bunny staring back at me. I was frozen with terror, staring at the rabbit thing before me. He tilted his head to the side, lifting his now free right hand, and waved at me with his fingers. I couldn’t move nor make a sound, and Happy Bunny began to skip toward me with glee. I could feel my heart pounding in my tiny chest, his shadow loomed over me, and Happy Bunny was down staring down at me as he did with the other kid. I could hear him growl and hiss, his hot breath hitting my face, making me tear up. He then suddenly grabbed me, pinning my arms to my sides, and lifted me up into the air. I thought I saw tears coming from his eyes, but his real mouth opened to reveal a gaping hole with six yellow fangs. He had me in his grip, he was about to have me in his mouth, he raised me up to lower me into his mouth to swallow me whole. As I felt his hot breath hitting my face once more, I finally screamed. I could hear my screams echoing through his mouth like a cave, and that was when I finally woke up. T1FFANYC1AY93 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… How? BlackWidowLover91 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… Just like all of you, I found myself waking up in that hallway in my third nightmare. I heard the stupid, eerie singing, but unlike you guys, I bolted like my ass was on fire. I didn’t get very far, as that fucking rabbit was hot on my heels, gaining on me as if I was moving in slow motion. I had only just started to run, and already, as soon as I turned back to look behind me, there he was with that stupid wide grin and big, dead eyes. I was in my preteen years at the time, so I was fast enough, regardless of all his tricks, to make a sharp turn into one of the classrooms. It too was made up of sketches and scribbles with rough, black lines making up everything inside from the chalkboard to the desks. The rabbit must have not expected me to turn as soon as I did for it slipped and fell on its side with a loud thud, trying to stop and grabbing the doorway. I thought I could lose him, but that fucking rabbit had me cornered now. I stared in shock while the rabbit got back up to its feet, using the doorway to force itself up. It growled and glared at me; I don’t think it was happy I pulled a stunt like that. I found myself pressed up against one of the desks, and while my hand slid around to catch a grip to support myself, I felt a pencil against the open palm of my hand. As the rabbit lunged at me, storming toward me with outstretched arms to grab me, I jammed that pencil right into its left eye. It howled and shrieked in pain, recoiling back while green blood poured from its wound. I then heard the loudest, echoing shriek of my life, but not from the fucking rabbit. It came from outside, and as I clutched my ears shut, I turned to the window of the classroom to see the severed heads on the balloons, screaming out in pain for their master. The screaming didn’t last long, lowering in tone until it came to a complete stop, and I smiled wide, thinking I had won. As I said, the fucker can bleed! I smiled wide, I watched as the creature clutched its bleeding eye, staining its white gloves. My victory was short-lived, however, as the thing regained its composure, and went back to glaring down at me more pissed than ever before. I too witnessed its real mouth opening wide, hearing that god-awful roar while its head shook rapidly. The damn thing jumped at me, and all I could do was shield myself with my hands and screams. It was then I woke up in my bed sitting up, sweat pouring down my body, my heart racing, and I was panting heavily. My parents didn’t care; they didn’t want to hear it. My Mom was more worried about me making it to school on time than hearing about how I escaped some kind of fucking dream monster that eats kids! Justin_97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… Joey and I were close. He was only a year younger than me, I always looked out for him. You don’t have to share something this painful with a bunch of strangers if you don’t want to. Justin_97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… No, I need to share this. You all have been so kind as to share all your experiences, and I’m the one who opened this can of worms, I might as well do my part. As I said, Joey and I woke up next to one another. Like all of you, we too found ourselves on our backs, out in the hall. I immediately went to check on Joey to see if he was okay, but as he nodded to me that he was fine, that was when I heard that familiar chanting from all the other dreams. I saw the color of Joey’s face grow pale just from hearing that godforsaken singing. He knew as well as I did what was coming. It always signaled Happy Bunny’s arrival. He always came when the singing started, and sure enough, as Joey and I looked down the long, vast hallway behind us, there he was. He was just standing there at the very end of the hall, looking at us with those big, dull, glazed eyes with that fixed expression on his face like always. I grabbed Joey’s hand, pulling him behind me; I was going to be the protective older brother, and no monster was going to get past me no matter what! I felt Joey hunker close to my body, as he hid behind me. It was then we heard it… Taki#99 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… Heard what? I didn’t even know he could speak let alone laugh. Justin_97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… I think…he was taunting us. I get the feeling that Happy Bunny felt some kind of sick enjoyment out of hunting us like wild game. He wanted us to feel powerless and alone, but I had Joey with me, and I was going to protect him. I was going to stake my life on it. I made a promise to Joey: I would always protect him from anything and everyone. Oh god, Joey…I’m so sorry I couldn’t save you. I tried…I really did, I tried! T1FFANYC1AY93 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… Okay, Justin, calm down. We know this must be very upsetting for you, revisiting all these bad memories, but going into hysterics isn’t going to help anyone here. Justin_97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… You’re right, I’m sorry. It’s just…how could I have forgotten all of this? Carter_Universe95 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… Hey, dude, some people deal with these things in their own way. You blocked it because your mind couldn’t handle it. You were young, it was traumatizing for all of us. You lost someone dear to you, no one’s blaming you for anything. Justin_97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… …Thanks man, I needed to hear that. BlackWidowLover91 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… So what happened next? The fucking rabbit stared at you and your brother from down the hall, then what? Justin_97 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… Oh, sorry…anyway, Joey and I were in the hallway, and Happy Bunny was just staring down at us. His laugh echoed through the hall, pulsating in our ears. It was like the Joker’s laugh from that 90s cartoon, but worse, mixed with this high-pitched wail that made it sound like multiple voices all laughing at once. The wall then began to shift and move, and then the floor beneath us began to move like an oversized treadmill, pulling the two of us closer to Happy Bunny. The shifting patterns of the black scribbly lines of the floors and walls hurt my eyes and stomach, I thought I was going to be sick. Happy Bunny wasn’t holding his balloon as he did in the previous nightmares. His arms were simply outstretched to grab me and my brother while we slipped and tried to regain our footing along the moving floor. His laughter got louder and louder, and I looked behind me to check on Joey but saw Happy Bunny’s head open up. I saw it too, like the rest of you; I saw his real mouth with those big yellow fangs. His mouth and head moved up and down as he laughed like a demented Loonie Tunes character or a slinky rocking side to side. Like I said, I got the message he was enjoying this sick game of his. I wasn’t about to give up. I had to protect Joey, and so I found a way out of the trap. I looked down as I tried to pull me and my little brother up the moving floor, and saw a gap between the floor and the wall that wasn’t moving. It was a flaw in the monster’s grand design. I shouted to Joey to follow me, and I planted a foot right on the gap, pulling Joey behind me onto it. I shouted to Joey to run, and we ran up the hall, and all went quiet. Happy Bunny wasn’t laughing anymore. I didn’t want to look back, but this little stunt of mine must have caught him off guard, or just pissed him off. Either way, Joey and I heard that roar that shook the entire hall, making the two of us clutch our ears shut, but we kept running. The walls and floor returned to normal, or as normal as they were before, but we just kept running down the seemingly never-ending hall. Joey cried out my name, and I turned only to be met with the sight of Happy Bunny crawling along the ceiling on all fours, his head spun around backward, his mouth wide opened, chasing and gaining on us. It’s amazing how many of us experienced the same scenario so differently and yet can collaborate on certain aspects. It was Tiffany who mentioned seeing the monster on the ceiling which jogged my memory about the third nightmare Joey and I had. It’s amazing how many of us experienced this…THING in our dreams, attacking us, choosing us for no real reason. Why us? Because we were kids, why? It doesn’t make sense…but I guess I need to get back to the story. I’m just stalling, but you all shared your horrible memories so it’s only right to share mine… Happy Bunny was scurrying along the ceiling like a spider on crack, chomping on me and my brother’s heels. I could hear the slapping steps he made along the ceiling mixed with that hissing, desperation roar and the panting of my breathes hurting my ears. An even louder burst of sound was heard, and Joey and I looked back but we didn’t stop running. Happy Bunny had jumped down from the ceiling, landing in the hall with a loud crash, snapping the pencil-outlined floorboards beneath the weight of his body, making a crater. He gave out another roar and continued to give chase, and Joey and I kept running. He was faster now, immediately gaining on us, but we still remained just out of his reach. I could see we were in his shadow which loomed over the two of us as he towered over Joey and me while he gave chase. Joey cried out to me again, saying something about him not being able to hold on. I looked back, and Joey was starting to slow down, and Happy Bunny was right on him. I could feel his sweaty hand slip from mine, I could feel the eyes in my sockets bulge out, I could hear my brother calling out my name, and the last time I saw my brother was when he was reaching out to me as Happy Bunny’s mouth came down upon him. I screamed out his name, JOEY, as loud as I could, and that was when I woke up in my bed. It was morning, 6 AM, and as soon as I started to regain my composure, my mom stormed in wanting to know what the noise was all about. I lied, telling her it was nothing that annoyed her. My room was right across the hall from Joey’s, and after telling me breakfast was almost ready, Mom went to check on Joey. She opened the door, but as I stood in the doorway of my bedroom peering into Joey’s past my mother’s body, Joey’s bed was empty. My Mom called out his name and began to search the room frantically, calling out his name louder and louder, but Joey was nowhere to be found. My brother was declared missing soon after. The whole state launched a huge search for him with news coverage, search parties, a reward, and everything, but my brother was never found. I knew what happened, but I didn’t say anything; I knew the adults would never believe me so I kept quiet about it all these years. Carter was right, I repressed that memory because I wanted to forget. I remember him going missing, I remember him being declared dead when I was ten, but Happy Bunny…I wish I never remembered what he did to Joey. I couldn’t save him. I’m so sorry, Joey… T1FFANYC1AY93 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… I’m so sorry… Taki#99 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… Me too, my friend BlackWidowLover91 Subject: Re: I had these nightmares about a demented man in a bunny suit… What I want to know is why did this happen? Hi all!

Further to our last journal - sci-fan-horror.deviantart.com/… - I'm happy to report that I found some of our admin and, like a well train sheep dog, have managed to herd a couple back from the wilderness.
:iconsavvid: Has been approving your art as and when she can, pretty much on her own, while I was away and oblivious to the issues, and will be continuing to do so.
:iconazrielmordecai: Is going to be writing some regular blogs on all kinds of things going on in the art world, and
:iconmothbanquet: Has kindly offered to share his blogs with us, and I'll have to tap him up for a chat soon about his new book.

However, we are going to need more help running this group. We need:
- People to run the gallery. If you like organising and have a spare half hour a week, this ones for you.
- Interviewers. If you enjoy talking to fellow artists and would like to do a monthly, or two monthly feature, contact me. It doesn't matter if you have no experience, you'll be fully supported if you want it.

Please come have a chat with me if you would like to help out. We need you!

Even if you don't have the time to be admin, I would be very grateful if you could add a note in your journals to let people know we need admin.
Thank you very much to :iconespionagedb7: for using your journal to give us a shout out. It's really appreciated.

Finally, it would be great to hear what you would like to see from SFH. We want to support you and your art, whatever kind of SFH'er you are. Please give us your wish lists and ideas, so we can build this group in the direction you want it to go. What features would you like to see? Do you know any artists that you would like to see us interview? What kind of things would you like to see discussed and debated?
The more feedback we get, the better we can do. As always, your thoughts and ideas are very welcome, hell, they're imperative!

I hope to hear from some of you soon.

:iconezri-krios:

PS. Note to admin. Alas, I don't have time to contact everyone individually, but I'd like to have a small team in place before I go into hospital in the next few weeks. As such, if you're tagged below, can you please drop me a note to let me know if you can still admin the group. Anyone who can't, or who isn't around anymore to see this, will be moved to members, with huge thanks and gratitude for all the time and hard work you put into the group. If you see this after you have been moved to members, but still want to admin, just send me a note and I'll move you back. Thanks guys.

Is this group still active?
I tried to submit some artwork here but I've got a notification today that it has expired.

We're accepting deviations still. As for any other activity, I couldn't say. I just accept deviations.

Thanks for getting back to me. I had a couple submissions expire, so I was just wondering if anyone was home :)

That would've been my fault, most likely.  I don't always get to submissions before they expire and as I'm the only person accepting them—so far as I'm aware, at least—sometimes a few things slip through the cracks.
